Berkeley County First Steps is hosting a "Back to School Bash and School Supplies Giveaway" event!

Join Berkeley County First Steps and Carolina Children’s Discovery Center for a Back to School Bash & School Supplies Giveaway at Bonneau Town Hall, 422 Municipal Lane, in Bonneau, from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, August 2.

This free, fun-filled event, complete with face painting, a jump castle, a family-friendly food truck, free (donated) school supplies for children in need, and free resources from community organizations, will help our county’s young children prepare for kindergarten and a lifetime of learning. All young Berkeley County children and their families are invited!

Library resources for Success!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten! The Berkeley County Library System encourages families to read at least 1,000 books with their children before they enter kindergarten.
TumbleBooks: Contains over 1,400 read-aloud storybooks, chapter books, graphic novels, songs, and videos. Books are available in English, Spanish, and French.
TumbleMatth: Animated and narrated math picture books covering addition and subtraction to fractions, finance, and graphing.
Tutor.com: Real-Time Tutoring: 24 hours a day, seven days a week for English and Spanish speakers. Connect with a tutor on a variety of subjects, test prep assistance, or parent coaching. An account is not necessary to use this service.
