BCLS SUMMER READING 2024:  Adventure Begins At Your Library

BCLS is kicking off Summer Reading with adventure!  Our Summer Reading Program begins June 1 and will offer the following categories:  

• Early literacy
• Children
• Teens
• Adults

All categories will be able to earn prizes June 1 - July 31.  In addition, Summer Reading features a lineup of performers including Tim Sonefelt:  The Great Reading Adventure and Miss September & Friends:  Pirate Adventures With SnowGran.

A ticket is required for each show performance and will be available one week before the performance date.  Both the Moncks Corner Library Tim Sonefelt:  The Great Reading Adventure and Miss September & Friends:  Pirate Adventures with SnowGran! shows, will not require tickets and will be held in the Assembly Room at Berkeley County Administration Building, located at 1003 Highway 52, Moncks Corner.

BCLS Summer Reading Program 2024:  Adventure Begins With Your Library, also includes Give Our Books New Looks Art Contest for third-fifth grade students to design a cover or draw a scene from a favorite book at Rules and Template and be entered to win a prize!  Deadline to submit all artwork is August 31.  One entry per person. 

TIM SONEFELT:  THE GREAT ADVENTURE

Mr. Tim & Larry the Duck are heading out on an ADVENTURE and the only thing missing is

YOU! Prepare for the trip of a lifetime... and it all takes place IN your library! Fiction,

Non-Fiction, Biographies, books with no pictures, books with no words... It’s all there.

We’ll find it all on our excursion!  The Great Reading Adventure is a program that your young readers will love and their parents will thank you for! The Great Reading Adventure is filled with magic, puppetry, audience participation and age-appropriate comedy, all designed to motivate young customers and get them excited about books!

MISS SEPTEMBER:  PIRATE ADVENTURES WITH SNOWGRAN

"Author and children's performer, September Cardiff, will present Pirate Adventures With Snowgran! this summer as she sails through books on the seven seas with Pirates, Princesses, and Dragons to a castle far, far away, and beyond. Come join Miss September and her Puppet Friends for magic, music, and more with her SRP 2024."
